Sports Related Question

Should NFL players be forced to speak to the media? There has been lots of talk since Marshawn Lynch has been fined 50,000$ for not talking to the media for the whole season. Is that fair? Why should he be forced to speak to the media? Some people are just not comfortable going up and talking to people. Especially when its for the NFL, and its being recorded for people to see... forever. There are many players who love the spotlight and love to answer the media's questions. Why force the ones that don't to do it as well?

  1. I don't think that they should be forced to, however it is in the contracts that they signed, therefore they are obligated to do so. If they want to play in the NFL, speaking to the media is not really that big of a deal.

  2. They shouldn't be forced to speak to the media but it is definitely expected. When you're in a position of such exposure media is something people expect from you.

  3. Marshawn Lynch will make 5 million dollars this year. Hold on... 5 million dollars... and he does not want to answer some questions from the media. He gets paid... 5 MILLION DOLLARS a year. I won't make that in a lifetime. Maybe. So I think it should not be beneath him to answer a few questions. Take a page out of Belichick's book and give the shortest most ambiguous answers possible to keep people off your backs. Suck it up... for 5 MILLION DOLLARS!
